Wang Xiaoqu (b.1987, Guilin) graduated with a master’s degree in Oil Painting from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2014. She Currently lives and works in Beijing. Using painting as a means, Wang mainly creates portraits, blending a wide range of images from documentary photography to press pictures to advertising photography, and tries to explore the concept of portrait from the perspective of urban environment and social media.
