Chan Wai Lap (b. 1988) is an artist based in Hong Kong. Drawing on his past experience and affection for collectibles, Chan’s works portray serious issues with a sense of humour. And working with his habit in swimming recently, his works addresses the relationship between a public space, humanities and his inner self. He had been taking place in artist in residency programmes including Tai Kwun Contemporary, Turkey and New York City, and has received The Award for Young Artist (Visual Arts) of Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2019.
